Pinezići

Pinezic is located in the western part of the island called Šotovento, about 9 km northwest of the town of Krk and administratively belongs to the City of Krk.

Below the village there is a small pier and a nicely arranged beach. You need to visit the church of Saint Fuska by the sea, 14th century, where during renovations, part of a Roman wall was discovered, including amphora and graves. It is believed that these are the remains of a Roman Rustic villa or a Roman maritime observatory. In the neighbouring village of Skrpčići you should visit the church of Saint Francis dating from the 17th century.

Island of Krk

Among the 1185 Croatian islands, only one of them is the golden one, the Insula Aurea – the island of Krk. Located in the centre of the Kvarner bay, it is considered one of the most attractive tourist destinations. Its mild Mediterranean climate, good geographical position and variety of natural and cultural beauties gave it, even in ancient times, the name "golden island".

Literally all roads lead to the island of Krk: from the land – over theKrk bridge; from the sea – by boats into the ports or small marinas, and by ferry to the Valbiska harbour, from the air – by plane to Rijeka's airport which is located close to Omišalj.

The island of Krk is surrounded by clear and clean sea. Beautiful beaches are of particular interest. Some are hidden in the bays, some are nicely arranged hotel or public beaches, some are pebbled or sandy, rocky… some can only be reached by boat or taking walks on shepherd’s paths along the pine forest. However, all these Krk beaches are suitable for visitors of different affinities.
